Meriden Branch Report April 2015

On Sunday the 5th of April, 14 riders with 3 pillions went on our first Easter Egg Run to  Acorns Children's Hospice in Selly Oak, Birmingham.

We were met there by Julie and Len Taylor, who had John Nelson with them, as John is not yet fit enough to ride his bike after his accident. He was also taking photographs as we all rode into Acorns, Julie and Len had Easter Eggs , goodie bags from Performance Triumph  Stratford with Triumph items in , various books , DVDs , and soft toys ,also we had £400  of ‘Toys Are Us’ vouchers collected by members of Meriden Branch . I would like to thank all who donated £300 towards the vouchers, and the £100 worth of vouchers donated from Branch funds by the committee, we were welcomed by the staff and children at Acorns, and our gifts were well received.

Thanks again everyone for your support. Ride safe and enjoy yourselves, Martin Wake.

On Sunday 26th April, Keith led 9 of us out from the Toby Carvery  to RAF Cosford for the Ride 4 Life Bike Fest, the weather was great and once there we met up with Dave P, who had started out earlier and  Ian and Elliott Snell who had ridden up to Meole Brace to join the thousands of bikes on the official Ride In with Foggy and Richard Hammond.

A big thanks to Keith for leading us.

Don't forget the Meriden Megaride is 28th June and our Bring it Home Rally is 24-26th July

Ride Safe
