Meriden Branch Report February 2018

Hello to all Meridians.

The branch AGM on 26th failed to get rid of me so you have to put up with my ramblings for another year. At least it's official now as I was co-opted last year due to Alistair being unwell. No other changes on the committee.

We have decided to pay an annual contribution to NABD the National Association of Bikers with a Disability. I am not aware of any of our members needing their help at the moment but you never know what is around the corner. Apparently old age can't be treated!

There are many events planned for the year ahead, so keep your eye on the branch web site events section. Reminders will be sent by email nearer the time.

Don't forget the branch auto-jumble is on Saturday 24th March, sellers set-up at midday, buyers at 1pm.

The following day 25th is the Mike Hailwood memorial run, 10am for 10.30 start at the club house in Meriden.

The Easter egg run to Acorns hospice on April 1st will be limited to a few riders as there is little parking at the venue. However donations, preferably cash, can be made on club nights.

The Bike for Life Fest at RAF Cosford is on April 22nd. Meet at the Toby Carvery, Stonebridge at 9am for 9.30 away.

Finally a big welcome to new members Andrew Morris, Joe Garforth, Darren Garforth, James Galloway, Stanley Whitehurst and Toby Merridan. Hoping to meet you all soon.

Ride safe, Ian
