Meriden Branch Report March 2014

On Friday 28th 10 bikes and 2 passengers accompanied the hearse for the funeral of Alastair Copland in Coventry. 20 members were present in total at the funeral and raised donations for Alastair’s favourite charity the TT Riders association. Alastair was involved with the club for many years and he will be sadly missed.

On 23rd March 20 bikes and 2 passengers attended the Mike Hailwood Memorial Run to Tanworth in Arden via B Roads and single track lanes.

After a visit to the graveyard and drinks in the village pub it was off to Wellesbourne Airfield café for further refreshments.

It was great to see some Meriden members (who for various reasons cannot make a Monday  Club night) support this event and hopefully more of the ride outs throughout the rest of this year. This interesting run out was planned and led by keith Snell.

Next run out is the Prescott Bike Festival, meeting at the Stratford  Upon Avon Bike Park at 09:30 on Sunday 6th April.

There seems to be some misunderstandings about how to renew your membership on line so Ian has asked me to attach the below message.

How to get £2 off your membership subscription:-

First of all you must have entered your email address on your previous joining or renewal form. When your renewal is due you need to visit the club web site www.tomcc.org  On the top right of the home page you must click  “Sign In”. You then sign in using the email address you submitted. If you don’t already have a password click the box “request password”. A password will be sent to your email address, which you can then enter in the password box. Click next. You then click the tab on the left, which says “Membership information”. The system will know who you are and you will not need to fill in any details unless you need to change anything. You will automatically get £2 discount. While you are logged in you can change your password to one of your choice. Remember, if you are not signed in you will not get discount. Ian
