Meriden Branch Report July 2013

The first outing was on the 5th July where a large number of club members and friends attended the funeral of Brian Hudson a long standing member of the club. The funeral took place at All Saints Church in Warwick and approximately 35 Bikes followed the

Triumph Thunderbird Hurst.

There was a little surprise for most of the followers when the Hurst sidecar took of at great pace along the A46 Warwick Highway.

Apparently Brian’s Son Steve had asked that he had one more ”blast” along the dual carriageway on to the cemetery!

It was a very dignified ceremony and Brian will be sadly missed by all.

The Club had a stand at the VMCC Festival of a thousand bikes 12th-14th July with approximately 15 bikes on display and some “hardy” members camped out but thankfully Derick bought his caravan so there was tea always available. A scorching weekend and well enjoyed and a lot of interest in new membership for the club was shown. Thanks to Shirley’s efforts.

On the 21st July again we had the club stand which was well attended at the VMCC Founders day Rally at6 Stanford Hall.

Up coming events 9th-11th August Meridens ‘’Bring it Home rally’’ at barkers Butts rugby club details have been in the Nacelle and we would welcome any other club member and friends to attend this event with all the proceeds going to the air ambulance Charity.

24th/25th August Coventry festival of motoring at  Stonleigh where again we will have the club stand.
