Meriden Branch Report July 2015

Hello All.

At Meriden we have had another busy month with all the normal stuff along with a couple of events.  The 19th of July saw us at Stanford Hall for Founders day where we had a branch stand with a display of 14 bikes which drew quite some interest.  As it turned out we were next to the Leicester branch and I think that between us we scored some new members.

Then on the 24th to 26th we had our own Bring it Home rally, our 4th.  The Friday weather was diabolical but still 73 hardy people pitched up regardless.  On the Saturday we had much better weather and Keith led a posse of 16 bikes on a round trip of about 90 miles.  Saturday was prize giving and the prizes were awarded as follows:-

Steve Bradwick won the Award for Best Classic triumph with his T100

Dave Mclean won the Award for Best Hinckley Triumph with his Speed Triple

Dave Rogers won the award for Best non-Triumph with his BMW Sidecar Outfit

Andy Pile won the award for the furthest travelled Male Rider

Sonia Young won the award for the Furthest Travelled Female Rider

Highest Branch attendance was awarded to the North West London Branch who had 4 members arrive on bikes, beating Bristol who also had 4 members attend but 2 of them came by car.

All profits from the rally will be donated to the Air Ambulance Service & Myton Hospice.

Ride safe, Alistair.
