Meriden Branch Report April 2019

On Sunday 21/04/2019 we had our Easter egg run to Acorn's children's hospice.

There were 16 riders plus 2 pillions. A new well liked route was used.

We raised £505 via donations plus various Easter eggs from the members including Richard's wife who knitted some Easter chicks and put cream eggs inside. Performance Triumph Stratford supported us again this year with goody bags. All was gratefully received. Reported by organiser Martin.

On Sunday 28th April 8 members set off from the Toby carvery on the A45 at Stonebridge and rode to Cosford and the” ride for life” show. After an hour at the show they walked round to the aircraft museum to see some of the wonderful exhibits. On the way home some of them diverted to Wren Hall for tea and home-made cakes. Reported by run leader Keith.

Some of ‘the lads’ at Cosford

Ian is the first member I know of to complete his 70 mile 70th anniversary run. Well done!

We welcome one new member;  Brian Addleton.
