Meriden Branch Report December 2024

So, another new year starting with hopes and expectations of it being (even) better than the last one. We did have a few high points last year with the 75th celebrations at Shelsley Walsh being the clubs highlight. Whilst the branch’s one was probably our room refurb. culminating with Norman Hyde doing the honours at the official,  opening event. This year, at present, does not seem to have any major events on the calendar but I’m sure that by the end we will have loads of good memories of events large and small.

In the last report I erroneously stated the wrong month for our branch AGM. If you are reading this in Nacelle then it is imminent! i.e. MONDAY 24 FEBRUARY.

This year it even more imperative that you attend as we have major roles that need filling. 3 of our vitally important committee are stepping down after many years of sterling service to the branch. Ian Ellis who looked after the membership, in particular enrolling new members.

John Nelson who has held about every position on the committee is now relinquishing his role as Webmaster, looking after our website for many years.

Dennis O’Neil, our chairman and organiser of our stand at the N.E.C. Classic Motor Show is looking for some to take on either of these roles. For more information please have a chat with these people. WITHOUT FILLING THESE ROLES THE BRANCH COULD CEASE TO EXIST.
