Meriden Branch Report November 2024

Our biggest event in November was our attendance at the Classic Motor Show at the N.E.C. near Birmingham, just a few miles from our Meriden HQ. We have had a stand there for many years. This time we had around 20 Triumphs...and a Suzuki (don’t ask). The 3 day event saw a constant stream of visitors asking about various bikes and a few signed up for membership or took a form. Our current chairman, Den. O’Neil has well organised our participation for the last few years but is now stepping down. We thank him for his efforts in making it an event to look forward to. So we need a new organiser to work along side Den to learn ‘the ropes’ so we can continue to put on a show and promote our favourite motorcycle brand. Please attend our AGM in January and show willing to help the branch with this event.

At the AGM we will also need a couple more committee members as 3 are stepping down: Membership Secretary, Webmaster, and Chairman. The first 2 roles will involve the present holders mentoring the new ones to ensure a smooth transition. The chairman oversees the running of the branch and chair committee meetings. Please ask for more information if you are considering applying.

We welcome 2 new members to our branch: Chris Wright and Nick Silk.
