Meriden Branch Report January 2017

Ex member Ken Tuckey died soon after Christmas, a good and generous man who will be sadly missed by those who shared cakes with him at events.

As usual this time of year the cold, wet and snow have curtailed the bike riding. A couple of our members joined the local VMCC for bacon butties at the Dog on Boxing Day. Only Ron and new member Bill regularly turn up on a bike on Mondays. I expect treasurer Steve would if he didn't work nights.

Don't forget our branch AGM is on 27th February at 8.30pm sharp. Please arrive in time to grab a pint.

On 6th March our very own Pete Brown is giving us a talk about his days as a car salesman and his exploits with motorcycles. It should be a good evening with a free buffet.

On 27th March Bob Haynes, the well known trials rider and ex employee of Francis Barnett, Triumph and Norton will be entertaining us with a talk about his many years of motorcycling. Free buffet again so forget the evening meal.

Keith will lead the Hailwood memorial run leaving the clubhouse at 10.30am on  26th March come rain or shine, so don't be late.

New members to be welcomed this month are Greg Elson, Keith Franklin, Jacqueline Taylor and Graham Vanhouse.

Check the web site and your emails for news and possible updates. If you need to be added to the email list please contact Ian at nlls@hotmail.co.uk

Ride safe Ian
