Meriden Branch Report January 2020

January is a time mainly for preparing bikes for the better weather. A few us went, unofficially, to The Newark Bike Show where we met other members of our branch. Bought a few 'bits and pieces' and saw some very nice machines.

On 24th February is our AGM at our base, the Heart of England Social Club, Berkswell Road, Meriden. Please come and support the branch, see who we are, what we do and have your say about things.

Our first official run of the year is on Sunday, March 22nd. This our popular run to visit the grave of motorcycle legend Mike Hailwood. We will meet at the club from 10.00 am ready to leave at 10.30. The scenic route will include a variety of lanes.

As usual we meet every Monday evening from about 7.45 in winter at the club, as above. In good weather, on lighter evenings, we ride our bikes there, admire each others machines and talk all things Triumph amongst other things. Some even arrive on 'non - Triumphs'!

A number of us can usually be found on Wednesday mornings at Hoar Park, B4114, near the old Daw MiIl Colliery. A very sociable gathering.

It is good to welcome a few new members: Neil Beckett and Derrick Allcock.

We have also had an old member John Martin rejoin. Welcome back.
