Meriden Branch Report January 2022

The main topic this month is the upcoming branch AGM on Monday February 28th. Hopefully you will read this before then! If so then please try to get there. Lots going on!

Looking back, not much has been happening. Our Monday evening -very informal-meetings at Heart of England Social Club, Meriden continue to be popular.

We have been storing our lockable trailer, full of stuff for the events we attend, in a lock-up in Meriden. It was never very satisfactory so we have now moved to a better one in Coventry. 4 of us ‘moved house’ and did a bit of sorting out in the process. So we are all set for the new season.

I must mention the sad news of the permanent closure of the popular Jacks Hill cafe on the A5 near Towcester, open since 1955!, because of various reasons. We had many a good meeting there over the years.

Going forward we are adding events to our calendar for the year as we hear of them.

So please watch out for them via email, the website, or at the club on Mondays.

No new members this month after last months flurry but Chris Wattling transferred to the branch. We welcome him and hope to meet him on a Monday at our club where all bikes are welcome.

The photo is from, I believe, the final gathering at Jacks Hill Triumph Day, a couple of years a go.
