Meriden Branch Report April 2024

The biggest news is that we have been invited to sponsor our ‘club room’ i.e. the lounge of the Heart of England Social Club. In return for paying for the room’s redecoration we will rename it the Bonneville lounge with a name plaque over the door. By the time you read this most of the basic redecoration should have been done with our trophies displayed over a couple of walls, bits of bikes etc emerging from walls; and some tasteful posters, photos etc.

If you have never been to the club then please come and have a look we are always pleased to see new faces on Monday evenings. We may have an official opening evening with a special guest to officiate

 We are at the Coventry Motofest on June 1 & 2. Please offer your bikes to populate our stand in Coventry city centre.

We will also have a stand at The Banbury Run on Sunday June 16 (Father’s Day) and bikes will be needed for display at Gaydon [free entry for those displaying a bike].

We may have a run down to Cassington on Monday June 24.

Further ahead bookings are being taken for our ‘Bring it Home’ rally August 2-4 next to the site of the Meriden factory, The ‘Big Branch Bash’ August 16-18 and the Classic Bike Show at the N.E.C. in November. More details on our website and by email.

We welcome new member David Harris and a transferred member Michael wale.
