Meriden Branch Report March 2024

I shan't mention the Mike Hailwood for which no one turned up! - it was a bit damp.

Instead we look forward to events we shall be attending – hopefully in better weather. On the weekend of 17 – 19 May our branch stand will be erected at Shelsley Walsh Hill Climb venue for the 75th anniversary celebrations of TOMCC. We need bikes to populate the stand. See the main flyer in this journal. Entry by pre booking only.

Those not able to attend that event may wish to join with the VMCC for a ride into the Rugby Bikefest. This will start from The Square in Dunchurch village. 9.00 am, bikes away at 9.30 prompt to arrive in the town centre and parked before 10.00am.

Looking even further ahead bookings are being taken for our ‘Bring it Home’ Rally and the ‘Big Branch Bash’ Rally both in August. Details for these events are also in this journal. Plus the Classic Vehicle Show at the NEC in November at which we need members Triumph bikes on our stand. Bikes from all branches are very welcome.

We have several new members to welcome into our branch: Jason Brindley, David MacHin, Peter Kelly, Paul Nicholls, and Tony Harris.

Please look out for notifications of other events which may be of interest. We have a new ‘WhatsApp’ group to help communication between members. Please contact John Ison for more information.
