Meriden Branch Report August 2020

This month we had our first ride out of the year as run leader Keith reports:

‘ At last, our first organised run for almost nine months, our Meriden Branch 40th anniversary Sunday afternoon run. Social distancing rules applied ( of course ).

Along B roads and country lanes, past Chesterton windmill, and over the hills. Burton Dasset first stop, for ice creams – it was a very warm day – and a photo shoot.

Then over Edge Hill and onto Sunrising Hill, part of the Banbury Run route. Down Warmington Hill to our final destination, the Touchdown Cafe at Wellesbourne Aerodrome, for more refreshments.

22 bikes plus one pillion took part – a great turnout. A special mention to Elliott, our youngest active member, he volunteered to be ‘tail gunner’ on the run. Only 19 but very professional, at least when he is with the T.O.M.C.C. and me Uncle Keith’

everyone should have received their 40th anniversary badge, by now. If you have not then please contact Ian: membership@triumphmeriden.org.uk.

Our regular Monday evening meetings have been well attended with 2 dozen bikes on the car park on sunny evenings.  Very pleasant occasions with a chance to consult with knowledgable members about any Triumph ‘issues ‘ you may have. Please come along. A warm welcome guaranteed ,

New members this month: Ken Burns, Malc Foskett and Tom Doran Also two have rejoined, Kieron Mason and Jon Weaver, welcome to all.
