Meriden Branch Report July 2020

Another month whilst still in the loosening? Grip of Covid. Our club headquarters at The Heart of England Social Club, Meriden is open again and we have resumed meeting, socially distancing, mainly on the car park, every Monday evening for the past several weeks. We get around 2 dozen bikes of various makes, even a Harley! Anyone is welcome to turn up on a bike or by car from about 7.30ish.

Our “ride captain” Keith has been busy route planning so please keep an eye on our website or social media for details of rides. Those on our email list will be informed when we organise an event. So if you are not on the list please get in touch with Ian Ellis at membership@triumphmeriden.org.uk

Two of our members, Steve and Jeff, have been busy doing the ‘Landmark challenge’

- see the club website for details, It involves solving simple clues to landmarks around Britain and taking a selfie, with your Triumph, at each one, 50 in total.

I am planning a John O’Groats trip on my 1963 Tiger 90 (350cc) at the end of September. A report will follow on my return.

To celebrate the40th anniversary of our branch we have commissioned a pin badge to give to each branch member. We should be distributing them by the time you read this.

We welcome 2 new members this month: Roy Carter and Steve Mayhew.
