Meriden Branch Report July 2024

Whilst our own branch events were non existent we do get to other events of interest to us.

The Tiddly Rally, held in June attracted 10 members to a rural Shropshire location. It seems to have been enjoyed by all who attended and Ian Mountford came away with the best bike award. Well done!

The main event in July was the annual Founders Day rally. A Sunday event which was held in ideal weather. We, as usual had a very good turnout and our area was crammed with Meriden and Hinckley models which were admired all day by the many visitors. Two of us had bikes for sale but sadly no takers. I must say that our new gazebo stood out and was visible from across the site. It put a lot of others to shame.

The number of members owning the new 400 models grows with 7 that I know of in our branch. They are good machines to ride.

Our ‘Bonneville Lounge’ is on course to be well appointed with Triumph memorabilia in time for our official opening by Norman Hyde on Sunday September1.more last minute items are welcome. Please come and support the event which will no doubt be featured in an upcoming Nacelle.

Our new memorial bench should be in use by now. Come and have a look (and a seat)

We are pleased to welcome 3 new members in July, John Hankins, David Gallagher, and Allen Thomas.
