Meriden Branch Report June 2022

The first event we attended in June was the popular Daventry Bike Festival. Several of our members rode in from the Long Itch Diner and enjoyed a good day.

Martin Wake reports on our next event:

“On Saturday 18/06/2022 we attended a Fete at Radford Semele, near Leamington Spa. We met up with Norman Hyde who was assisting with the Fete, which was in aid of a special school in the village. 3 Members of the club attended, myself on 1966 Thunderbird, Ron 1946 Speed Twin and Mike, 1987 Harris Bonneville. Norman turned up on a 1200cc, 2017 Bonneville and treated us all to tea and food for turning up considering the weather.

A good day was had by all with quite a lot of interest shown in the bikes.  Norman, in the white hat talking to Mike, spent the day with us reminiscing about his days at Meriden Triumph.”

Our branch had a stand at the Banbury Run which attracted a fair bit of interest and at least one new member. It was well populated with members bikes plus one or two others.

Cassington Bike Night was once again a success. Keith led a ride in from the Touchdown Cafe, Wellesbourne Airfield. Although their progress was hampered, most of the way,  by a coach being fairly steadily driven!

Upcoming events include our branch ‘Bring it Home’ Rally on 5-7 August. See our website and advert for details. Late entries welcome.
