Meriden Branch Report November 2019

The N.E.C. was the venue for the major branch event over the past few weeks. I’m sure that most of you will have read the report on the branch website but for those who have not;

We had a decent size area in Hall 5 of the Classic Car and Motorcycle Show which we filled with 26 bikes plus 2 sidecars. A reasonably wide range of Triumphs finest was on display although lacking in pre-war models! A fair few members manned the area for the 3 days, receiving lots of positive comments and managing to answer questions posed by the multitude of visitors to the area. My Tina ‘project’ also attracted attention and comments! Major thanks must go to branch member Denis O'Neil who organised our participation.

The next week was the ‘Bike Show Live’ at which we were represented on the main Triumph stand by John Nelson and Ian Ellis – on different days. At this show several new members were signed up.  So a warm welcome to Nigel Young, Jim Woods, Andrew Edmunds, Keith & Grace Straw, Richard Lampett, Clive Burt and Nick Silk. We hope to see you at club nights and events.

Our Monday evening gatherings at the Heart Of England Social Club continue right through into next year. We will have lots of club events next year, as well as ‘unofficial’ attendance at regular morning events such as Hoar Park on Wednesdays and Wellesbourne airfield ‘Touchdown cafe’ on Tuesdays.

 “HAPPY NEW YEAR!”
