Meriden Branch Report September 2019

The major club event of the past month was the run to the Cleobury Mortimer Bike Show and the Long Mynd as run leader Keith Snell reports: “ The run was attended by 16 bikes, a popular ride out. After 2 hours at the show it was off, via Ludlow, and up the Long Mynd, stopping off at a viewpoint near the top for a photo shoot. Then onto to the glider club cafe for tea/coffee and cakes. Sitting outside we took in the glorious views and watched the para gliders taking off.

We stopped off at the Quatt cafe on the way home for more refreshments, then had a ‘brisk’ ride home along the Warwick Highway on a beautiful late summers day. My thanks to Martin Wake for volunteering to do the ‘tail gunners job’. “

Our next major event is the Classic car and bike show at the N.E.C. in November. Our branch is organising the TOMCC display area where we will hopefully have up to a couple of dozen bikes on show. At the time of writing there were some places left so if you would like your ‘pride and joy’ to be there then please contact Denis on denisoneil@talktalk.net a.s.a.p.

If you are a new member then welcome to the club. Please come on a Monday evening to our HQ at the Heart of England Social Club, summer and winter, rain or shine. Press the intercom and you will be admitted.
