Branch Report - August 2025

Early August was our 'Bring it Home' Rally held on a rugby ground right next to the old Meriden factory site. Over 70 members attended this year in very good weather. On Friday night we held a quiz with was well supported and enjoyed. Saturday's ride out took a good number of riders to Huggy's quirky motorcycle shop in the grounds of Mallory Park to join their monthly 'Shindig'.

The evening band had to cancel at fairly short notice but the solo singer/musician replacement went down very well.

The 'Big Branch Bash' was attended by 6 members in very warm weather. Terry Hayton had a mixed weekend on his 1960's TRW. He won the award for the best classic but then broke down on the way home resulting on a lengthy wait for recovery.  It seems to have been just muck in the carburettor.

The Triumph factory in Hinckley has been holding monthly well attended meetings on a Wednesday evening. The last one was attended by around 17 of our members and so won an award for their efforts. The September meeting is an award evening for the judges favourite bike chosen from the one put forward from each attending group.

Membership secretary George has been putting in a lot of effort to attract new members which seems to be paying off with several being signed up in the past few months. We welcome you all and hope to see you on a Monday evening.
