Branch Report - March 2026

March 23rd was the 45th anniversary of the untimely death of Mike Hailwood. As we are fairly near we like to visit his grave around this date. So I led a joint run with the VMCC Warwickshire Section. 10 of us left Stoneleigh Park (formerly known as N.A.C.) for the 22 mile ride along mainly country lanes to Tanworth in Arden where he lived and is buried. We rode there via the entrance to Umberslade Hall where a joint BSA/Triumph development team worked in the '60's. and on to The great cafe on the adjoining farm. It was then just a half mile ride into the dead centre of the village.

We rent a lock up garage/storage unit in Coventry in which we keep our aluminium box trailer. It contains all our equipment for bike shows and rallies. The unit doors were in a very poor state so after much deliberation and a lengthy wait we have had a new pair made and fitted which not only look better but are much more secure. This month we are pleased to welcome 4 new members to our club: Ian Sanderson, Brian Callis, Dario Payne and Michael Littler. Who hope to see you either at an event we attend or any Monday evening at the Heart of England Social Club, Meriden, CV7 7LB. We also informally meet at the Touchdown Cafe, Wellesbourne Airfield on Tuesday mornings and Hoar Park on Wednesday mornings.
