Branch Report - May 2025

The Rugby Bikefest, an annual celebration for bikers of all descriptions. our branch supports it with a ride in, this year from Dunchurch, just a couple of miles from Rugby town centre, and then a display of our machines next to a very loud live band stage. About a dozen rode in and were joined by another couple of latecomers (including moi).

Earlier in the month a personal SMIDSY episode saw me colliding with a car who pulled out across my path resulting me going over the handlebars. Thankfully only bruised. So "see and be seen" is the message.  Be very aware of vehicles which may pull out. Ride appropriately.

A group of our members ventured west into deepest Wales for West Wales Branch Annual Rally by the Sea. Jeff. McIvor seems to have had a lucky escape when the rear tyre on his Tiger 900 blew out just a couple of miles from home. He was followed by Steve Malin to Blade (a Triumph dealership) in Stratford upon Avon who came up trumps with a new tyre and got him back on course, if a couple of hours later than scheduled.

Looking forward our major upcoming events are Founders Day, at Stanford Hall (a very good day out) then our branch Sunday afternoon BBQ at our HQ. In August is our own "Bring it Home" Rally at Barkers Butts Rugby Club, near Meriden. Booking is open. See our website for more details.
